The Company was founded in 1981 under the name Franklin Telecommunications Corp. and was a supplier of various communications devices as well as LAN, WAN and satellite systems and software and was an early pioneer and innovator of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. In 2003, Franklin Telecommunications merged with cell phone designer Accetio Inc., and the company was renamed Franklin Wireless.
