TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 11, 2016) - On Tuesday, January 12, the Fraser Institute will release a new study examining the level of federal transfers to provincial and territorial governments.

In recent months, some provincial premiers have blamed a lack of funding from Ottawa for their inability to balance their budgets. The study, Are the Provinces Really Shortchanged by Federal Transfers? looks at the changes in federal transfers over time and the amount of funding Ottawa provides to provinces.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired on Tuesday, January 12 at 5:30 a.m. (EST).

Ben Eisen, Fraser Institute associate director of provincial prosperity, will be available to media in Toronto. Charles Lammam, director of fiscal studies at the Fraser Institute will be available in Vancouver.
