The Fraser Institute-Media Advisory: New Study Spotlighting the Emergence of Charter Schools in North America Coming Thursday, December 10

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Dec. 9, 2015) - On Thursday, December 10, the Fraser Institute will release a new study comparing the growth of charter schools -autonomous public schools that provide alternative pedagogies and curriculum- between Canada and the United States.

The study, A Primer on Charter Schools, highlights the mounting academic literature about the potential benefits of charter schools and their growing popularity in the U.S. and broaches the question: Why is Alberta the only province in Canada with legislation allowing such schools?

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired on December 10 at 5:30 a.m. (Eastern).
