VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jan. 21, 2015) - The Fraser Institute, Canada's leading public policy think-tank, will release a new study on Thursday January 22 ranking how Canada's premiers have performed in terms of managing their provincial economies.

The study, Measuring the Fiscal Performance of Canada's Premiers, 2015, provides an objective, empirical assessment of how Canada's premiers have managed the public finances of their provinces and whether they have pursued sound long-term economic policies. It ranks 10 provincial premiers (five current and five former) on three core components of fiscal policy: government spending, taxes, and debt and deficits.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired at 6:30 a.m. (Eastern) on Thursday, January 22

The full report will also be available as a free PDF download at www.fraserinstitute.org.
