Fraser Institute Media Advisory: Should Canadians Have Faith in the Federal Government's Latest Fiscal Targets? New Study Coming Thursday, May 12

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - May 11, 2016) - On Thursday, May 12, the Fraser Institute will release a new study spotlighting the federal government's five-year deficit targets.

Given the government's rapidly evolving deficit and debt targets, the study, Moving Targets: Re-estimating Federal Deficits and Debt-to-GDP through 2020/21, presents three scenarios that raise questions about the government's budget plan.

Fraser Institute president Niels Veldhuis will be in Toronto and available for media interviews.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired at 5:30 a.m. (Eastern) on May 12.
