The Fraser Institute: Media Advisory; The Honourable Chief Justice Donald Brenner Speaks on Civil Justice Reform in Final Evening of Fraser Institute Cocktail Series

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 17, 2008) - Join the Honourable Chief Justice Donald Brenner for a discussion on the proposed reforms to B.C.'s legal system, which have created such widespread debate within the legal profession, during the final evening of the Fraser Institute's fall cocktail series, Behind the Spin: Fraser@Metro on Tuesday, November 18.

Brenner will also delve into issues that are of critical importance to British Columbians including crime, punishment and the state of judicial activism.

Brenner was appointed a judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia in 1992 and Chief Justice of the Court in 2000. Prior to his judicial appointment in 1992 he was in private practice with Brenner & Company in Vancouver.
