Fraser Institute Media Advisory: Why Are Investors Losing Confidence in Alberta's Oil and Gas Sector? New Study Coming Thursday, January 14

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Jan. 13, 2016) - On Thursday January 14, the Fraser Institute will release a new study examining the causes of weakening investor perceptions of Alberta's energy industry.

The study, Pipelines or Policies: What's Behind the Fall in Investor Confidence in Alberta, spotlights recent oil industry tribulations -- such as the Keystone XL pipeline announcement and the Alberta government's decision to move forward with an energy royalty review -- to determine what events have had a greater effect on investor perceptions.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwired at 5:30 a.m. (Mountain) on Thursday, January 14.
