Fraser Institute: Media Release; Do Living Wage Laws Help or Hurt Low-Paid Workers? New Report Coming Tuesday, January 14

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Jan. 13, 2014) - As more Canadian municipalities consider adopting so-called living wage laws, the Fraser Institute will release a new report Tuesday, January 14 examining the effects of these laws on low-paid workers.

The report, The Economic Effects of Living Wage Laws, reviews scholarly research on living wage laws in the United States, where more than 140 municipalities have the legislation, and spotlights the impact on employment, wages and poverty.
