Fraser Institute's Annual Ontario Elementary School Rankings Coming Sunday, March 4

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 2, 2012) - The Fraser Institute's Report Card on Ontario's Elementary Schools 2012, which allows parents to review the academic performance of their child's school and compare it to other schools in their community, will be released Sunday, March 4 at 6:30 a.m. (Eastern).

The report card provides parents with information they can't easily get anywhere else. For example, it shows which Ontario elementary schools have improved, or fallen behind, in terms of reading, writing, and mathematics over the past five years.

A news release with additional information will be issued via Marketwire on Sunday, March 4 at 6:30 a.m. (Eastern).

School results will be published in the Toronto Sun, Ottawa Sun, and Osprey/Sun Media newspapers across Ontario the day of the release. The complete rankings will also be available in an interactive and searchable format or as a free PDF at www.compareschoolrankings.org.

Michael Thomas, Fraser Institute associate director of school performance studies, will be in Toronto and available for media interviews the day of the release.
