Fred Water Congratulates ORACLE TEAM USA for Its Win of the 2013 America's Cup

SAUSALITO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 25, 2013) - Today Fred Water cheered ORACLE TEAM USA on as it won the 2013 America's Cup in one of the most exciting finishes in the race's 162-year history. Coming back from an 8-1 deficit in the final week of the race, skipper Jimmy Spithill led the team to a victory over New Zealand in San Francisco!

According to The America's Cup, only twice before in history has the race been this close in a winner-take-all final race, with the other nail biters being in 1983 and 1920. However, this was the first time a team had won after being behind by eight races.

"Fred Water is so excited to see that ORACLE TEAM USA has won the 2013 America's Cup after an intense race series," said Fred Water CEO Adam Gayner. "As the provider of water to the team, Fred Water has been rooting for ORACLE TEAM USA and looking forward to today's victory. Congratulations to Jimmy Spithill, Larry Ellison and the entire team for today's amazing victory."

ORACLE TEAM USA selected Fred Water because it is a local company, based in Sausalito, serving water from right here in the United States. Fred provided bottled water as well as refillable five-gallon water jugs for ORACLE TEAM USA and its support crew for the duration of training and the America's Cup race.
