The event will address risk management from both the operational and financial point of view. Attendees will learn:

  • Eve Ellis, Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Investment Management Analyst is one of fewer than 200 Chartered Advisors in Philanthropy in the nation. Ellis is a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC in NYC and a member of the Association of Professional Investment Consultants (APIC), an independent organization dedicated towards professionalism in the consulting industry.
  • James Forbes, Jr. (Jim) is senior consultant at Accounting Management Solutions, Inc. specializing in nonprofits, healthcare and human services. Most recently, Forbes was a partner at Tatum LLC where he served as an interim CFO for nonprofit clients in research, advocacy, healthcare and education. Forbes is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), serving on the Not-for-Profit Organizations committee. Forbes is also the Secretary-Treasurer of AARP, a role that he holds alongside his position at AMS.
