FREE PARKING On-Street and in CPA Parkades on July 1st

CALGARY, AB--(Marketwired - June 28, 2016) - Enjoy free parking on-street as well as in six of our parkades on Canada Day.

"We're happy to extend free parking in our parkades so proud Canadians can come downtown and be a part of the Canada Day celebrations," says General Manager Mike Derbyshire. "Our organization is a big supporter of this community and we hope our facilities fill on this day."

  • McDougall Parkade 720 5th Avenue SW
  • Centennial Parkade 608 9th Avenue SW & 823 5th Street SW
  • City Centre Parkade 240 10th Avenue SW & 221 9th Avenue SW
  • James Short Parkade 112 5th Avenue SW & 115 4th Avenue SW
  • Convention Centre Parkade 727 1st Street SE
  • City Hall Parkade 322 9th Avenue SE

Please note that select CPA surface lots will have holiday rates in effect on July 1st.

The Calgary Parking Authority is a proud partner of The City of Calgary and is committed to managing publicly-owned on- and off-street parking facilities on The City's behalf. In addition, CPA manages the municipal parking enforcement program and provides parking advisory services.

Every dollar CPA collects that exceeds its operational costs is returned to The City of Calgary. Last year CPA returned $29M to the municipal general revenue program which funds projects such as recreation centres and pathways and provides funding for community services and public safety programs. The CPA operates without using any municipal tax revenues.
