PacWest Bancorp (NASDAQ: PACW) shares declined 2.46 percent on volume of over 900,000 shares traded Wednesday to close at $26.61 a share. The company reported net earnings were $13.5 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, for the first quarter of 2013, compared to net earnings of $19.9 million, or $0.54 per diluted share, in the previous quarter.

TriQuint Semiconductor (NASDAQ: TQNT) shares declined 3.23 percent on volume of 4.35 million shares traded Wednesday to close at $32.40 a share. Shares of Apple's chip suppliers were dragged down by a report from Cirrus Logic Inc. stating that revenues for the first quarter of 2013 have slowed, due to lower sales of a particular chip to a certain supplier.
