Free Video Calls to Iraq Available to Military Families

TANDBERG Teams Up With the Freedom Calls Foundation to Connect Troops and Families Through Video

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 23, 2008) - In honor of July 4th and the sacrifices made by the men and women of the U.S. military, TANDBERG (OSLO: TAA), a leading global provider of telepresence, high-definition (HD) video conferencing and mobile video solutions, and the Freedom Calls Foundation are proud to offer their video conferencing networks to military families nationwide. Free video conferencing calls will be available to military families at eight TANDBERG offices and 23 other sites across the country, enabling them to connect with friends and family stationed in Iraq. The events will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT.

Through private, 30-minute video conferencing calls, family and friends of military personnel currently deployed in Iraq, will have the opportunity to communicate face-to-face with troops located at one of five military installations in Iraq with Freedom Calls centers: Al Asad Airbase, Camp Taji, Camp Fallujah, Camp Victory (Baghdad) and Camp Taqaddum.

"TANDBERG is pleased to show our support to the courageous men and women serving in the U.S. military," said Rick Snyder, President of TANDBERG, Americas. "The 4th of July is a time to gather with the family, and our video communications tools help bring a little piece of home to our soldiers overseas."

"We are extremely honored to get the chance to come together with TANDBERG and their customers, to connect military personnel and their families on Independence Day," said John Harlow, Executive Director Freedom Calls Foundation. "The contribution of resources by community citizens like TANDBERG gives the Foundation the ability to provide troops in the war zone with some semblance of home."

About Freedom Calls Foundation

The Freedom Calls Foundation (www.freedomcalls.org) is a 501(c)3 Public Charity which has built a satellite network dedicated to providing state of the art video conferencing, telephone, and internet services to enable our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to keep in touch with their families and loved ones at home -- free of charge because there is no internet infrastructure in Iraq. The Foundation provides services to more than 50,000 soldiers and marines -- free of charge -- 24 hours per day, and the Army has requested that the foundation install eight additional facilities in Iraq and two in Afghanistan in the coming months, including more than 2,000 enterprise class video conferences from homes, medical centers and churches every month. The Foundation is authorized by the Secretary of the Army to provide communications services to the troops and their families and recently received a Commendation from the Army, a personal letter of appreciation from Major General Taguba, and personal thanks from President Bush at The White House. The Freedom Calls Foundation is supported solely by donations of corporations and the American people through the foundation's website (www.freedomcalls.org). The Foundation urgently needs funding to continue to bring families together.
