Freehold Royalty Trust Announces Distribution for April 15, 2007

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - March 20, 2007) - Freehold Royalty Trust ("Freehold") (TSX:FRU.UN) announces that the regular monthly distribution in the amount of Cdn $0.15 per Trust Unit will be paid on April 15, 2007 to Unitholders of record on March 31, 2007 (ex-distribution date March 28, 2007). Including the April 15, 2007 payment, the twelve-month trailing cash distributions total Cdn $2.01 per Trust Unit.

Freehold is the only royalty trust in Canada whose primary focus is on oil and gas royalties. Approximately 80% of production and over 90% of distributions come from royalty assets (mineral title and gross overriding royalties). Freehold has an interest in over 23,000 oil and gas wells in western Canada and Ontario. Production is split 60% to oil and 40% natural gas. The Trust Units trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange in Canada under the symbol FRU.UN.
