FREIDE + Co. to Curate "Rock For Locks Of Love" at the Kantor Gallery in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 18th, 2010

FREIDE + Co. in Conjunction With the Paul Mitchell Team of Alahambra, Catherine Asanov and Special Musical Guests Will Be on Hand to Host an Event Benefiting Charitable Organization Locks of Love

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 7, 2010) -  On Saturday, September 18th, FREIDE + Co. will be curating the Rock For Locks Of Love show at the Kantor Gallery located at 7025 Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. Guests will be treated to an exhibition of hair in its many forms displayed in unusual and innovative ways created by the Paul Mitchell styling team. Catherine Asanov will also be in attendance with her "Action in Stillness" installation which has been garnering rave reviews and there will be special performances by Ship of the Rising Sun, BLOK, Leslie Presti & The Masses and international DJ Kim Ahn. Doors open at 7:30, the exhibition will start at 8:30.

Quickly making a name for themselves as the premier destination for Luxury Branded entertainment, FREIDE + Co. is creating a buzz amongst Hollywood tastemakers, established fashionistas and luxury industry professionals alike; not just a branding and development agency but a way of life, encompassing elements from art, fashion, music, charity and design. The Event will feature an installation by Elijah Blue, son of Cher and Greg Allman, with works from his recent series "Stuff of Legends." His work comments on the unholy marriage of celebrity and commerce. Catherine Asanov's photographic work will also be in attendance with her exhibit "Action in Stillness."

Vitamin Water will be keeping the guests refreshed with drinks from their water bar as they snack on Rock and Roll Cupcakes such as "Red Velvet Underground" and "Sweet Child o' Lime."

Kantor Gallery was first founded in Los Angeles in the 1940s by Paul Kantor, a renowned art dealer often credited with discovering and nurturing the talent of Richard Diebenkorn. The Gallery has showcased artists ranging from Jean-Michel Basquiat to Andy Warhol.
