Fronteer Announces Marketed Deal

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 21, 2007) -


Fronteer Development Group Inc. ("Fronteer" or the "Company") (TSX:FRG)(AMEX:FRG) is pleased to announce that it has filed a preliminary prospectus in connection with an overnight-marketed public offering (the "Offering") of common shares in Canada. The Offering will be conducted through a syndicate of underwriters led by National Bank Financial Inc. and Sprott Securities Inc. and including Canaccord Capital Corp. and Toll Cross Securities Inc.

The Offering will be marketed by way of a short form prospectus to be filed in all provinces of Canada, except Quebec. The Offering will be priced in the context of the market with final terms to be determined at the time of pricing. The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering for strategic investments and for future acquisitions.

The Offering is scheduled to close on or about March 15, 2007 and is subject to certain conditions including, but not limited to, the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals including the approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange and the American Stock Exchange.
