OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 26, 2009) - FRONTENAC VENTURES CORP. an Oakville, ON. based private company announces the discovery of a large Alaskite type uranium deposit in the east Bancroft area of Ontario, Canada. The radiometric anomaly extends over an area 15 kilometres long and 8 kilometres wide.

The discovery of a large new zone was made during late fall 2008. Forty bags (500 lbs.) of bedrock samples, ranged from a high of 8.05 lbs./ton to 025 lbs./ton, with an average grade of 1.77 lbs./ton.

A Report prepared by G.A. Harron & Associates, recommends a multi-dollar diamond drill program. The completion of this program will allow for 43-101 drill indicated tonnage.

A M.O.U was signed in November 2008, between the Government of Ontario, Algonquins of Ontario, Shabot Abaadjiwan and Snimikoki communities and FRONTENAC. All parties agreed to protect health, safety, the environment and respect and protect aboriginal cultures, values and interest.

A historic resource of 9 millions tons with a bulk sample grade of 0.70 lb/t was outlined during the 1960's and/1970's. Leaching tests suggest a recovery of up to 96%.

A Private Placement is planned to provide for further exploration and other corporate undertakings.
