Frontera Copper Warrants Expire December 11, 2006

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 29, 2006) - Frontera Copper Corporation (TSX:FCC)(TSX:FCC.NT)(TSX:FCC.NT.A)(TSX:FCC.WT) reminds warrant holders that the Frontera Copper Series A warrants expire on December 11, 2006 at 4:00 pm (ET). One whole Series A Warrant entitles the holder to acquire, upon exercise and payment of Cdn$3.00 per share, one common share of Frontera Copper Corporation. The Series A Warrants are traded on the TSX under the symbol FCC.WT.

Holders of warrant certificates which are registered in the name of a bank, trust company, investment dealer, broker or discount broker, or other nominee and who wish to exercise their warrants should contact that institution with instructions to exercise the warrants on their behalf. The institution will need to complete the (Form 1) Subscription Form on the back of the warrant certificate and forward the certificate, with the appropriate payment, to Equity Transfer & Trust Company.

Warrants may be tendered on any business day prior to and including December 11 if the warrant holder gives specific instructions for immediate exercise to their full service or discount broker.

Equity Transfer & Trust Company will issue the new share certificates within five business days of receipt of the completed paperwork and payment.

Frontera Copper is a Canadian mining, development and exploration company whose principle activity is the production of copper cathode from the Piedras Verdes run-of-mine heap leach copper operation in Sonora, Mexico. Production commenced in October, 2006 and is expected to reach full production capacity in 2007. A total of 942 million pounds of copper is projected to be produced during the 18-year life of the operation. Existing resources and prospective exploration targets adjacent to the main open-pit have the potential to improve the economics and extend the life of the project.
