Frontier Pacific-Solex JV Reports Higher Average Grade on the Calvario I Prospect, Macusani Uranium Project, Peru

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 14, 2007) - Solex Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SOX) ("Solex") would like to report the following, as previously disseminated by our joint venture partner Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation (TSX VENTURE:FRP) ("Frontier Pacific") and as posted by Solex on SEDAR September 11, 2007.

Frontier Pacific (the "Operator") and Solex (collectively the "Venture Participants") are pleased to announce a higher than previously reported weighted average grade of 0.041% U3O8 (0.82 pounds per ton U3O8) based on all drill results from the 52 hole program completed on the Calvario I near surface uranium target.

Drilling was also completed and results received for 40 holes drilled on the Agaton target and 28 holes drilled on the Sayana West targets both of which outlined a thin ignimbrite stratigraphic horizon containing low values of U3O8.

Geological Interpretation of the Calvario I, Calvario III, Agaton and Sayana West targets (along with preliminary interpretations from the Sayana Central, Puncopata and Calvario II targets where drilling is currently being carried out) have now helped to define four distinct ignimbrite units present in the eastern part of the Macusani Project. These flat lying, stratigraphic ignimbrite units (T4, T3, T2 and T1) are differentiated by age, T4 being the youngest, as well as the manner and frequency in which the uranium mineralization occurs.

A NI43-101 technical evaluation study has been initiated to establish an initial resource calculation on all the targets drilled to date on the project.

Calvario I Target

Further to the news reported on July 19, 2007, in which results from the first 23 holes of a 52-hole drill program at the Calvario I target were announced, the results from the remaining 29 holes have resulted in the increase in the weighted average grade of the anomaly to 0.041% U3O8 (0.82 lb per ton U3O8) over a stratigraphic thickness of 7 metres in an area measuring 350 metres by 325 metres and representing approximately 50 percent of the target in plan view. Uranium mineralization was intersected from surface to depths of approximately 30 metres below surface. The complete drill results for these targets can be found at the end of this press release.

The Venture Participants have now classified the type of ignimbrite flow at the Calvario I target as a type "T2" unit, which contains both widely, disseminated low-grade uranium as well as numerous fractures coated with high-grade uranium. Mineralization is still open to the east with higher grade zones increasing to the east-south-east. A follow-up drill program will be needed to completely delineate the balance of this large anomaly.

Sayana West Target

A total of 28 holes, totalling 1,645 metres were drilled on the Sayana West target and results have established the presence of a weakly mineralised ignimbrite volcanic flow with a weighted average grade of 0.011% U3O8 (0.22 pounds per ton U3O8) over a stratigraphic thickness of two metres over an area measuring 500 metres by 200 metres and representing approximately 10 percent of the target area in plan view. The ignimbrite flow at Sayana West has been correlated to the type "T3" unit where mineralisation is restricted to uraniferous coatings along widely-spaced fractures. This type "T3" unit stratigraphically overlies the uranium-hosted ignimbrite flow (T2) encountered at Calvario III, Calvario I, Puncopata and Calvario II.

No further work is planned over the Sayana West target at the current time.

Agaton Target

A total of 40 holes, totalling 1,903 metres were drilled on the Agaton target and results have confirmed the presence of a thin, weakly mineralised ignimbrite volcanic flow with a weighted average grade of 0.009% U3O8 (0.19 pounds per ton U3O8) over a stratigraphic thickness of three metres covering an area of 800 metres by 200 metres and representing approximately 10 percent of the surface area in plan view. The ignimbrite volcanic flow at the Agaton target has been correlated to the type "T4" unit, which occurs as a relatively thin, discontinuous uraniferous flow with mineralisation restricted to fracture coatings and weakly disseminated fillings between tuffaceous fragments.

Earlier drilling at Agaton (in 2006) had reported much higher grades within restricted areas of the T4 unit. Follow-up drilling this year has shown that the mineralisation was restricted to the major fractures within the T4 and initial interpretation suggests poor continuity of uranium mineralization across the target area.

No further work is planned over the Agaton Prospect at the current time.

Drilling Ongoing

A seventy-three hole drill program on the Sayana Central target has been completed and the samples submitted for analyses. A twelve hole drill program on the Puncopata target has also been completed and the samples are being prepared for shipment to the laboratory. Drilling is currently underway on the Calvario II target and a twinning drill hole program for QA/QC and metallurgical studies at Calvario III and Calvario I are also underway.

Earthquake Relief Fund

The Venture Participants have contributed by donation to the Earthquake Relief Fund following the earthquake that hit the Ica Province in Peru on August 15th. The Venture Participants are fortunate that this disaster did not affect any of its employees or their immediate families nor did the earthquake affect the ongoing exploration activities on the Macusani project.
