Frost & Sullivan Presents 2011 United States Automotive Technicians' Choice Award for Best Program Distributor for Replacement Parts to WORLDPAC, Inc.

NEWARK, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 15, 2011) - On the basis of Frost & Sullivan's independent research, Professional Choice Program 2011: Automotive Replacement Parts Preferences among U.S. Automotive Technicians, WORLDPAC, Inc. emerges as the overwhelming leader in the program distributor category among U.S. automotive technicians.

In Frost & Sullivan's survey of professional automotive technicians, WORLDPAC is ranked as the best program distributor for replacement parts.

Automotive technicians rank all of the surveyed influencing factors (friends/colleagues, automotive replacement part sales representatives, trade shows, magazines, televisions, radio) for replacement parts as having only low to moderate influence on their purchase decisions. However, the two most influencing factors are friends/colleagues and automotive replacement part sales representatives (4.2 and 4.0 on a seven-point scale). Both certification and loyalty programs also are viewed as having moderate influence on decisions as to what brands of automotive replacement parts to purchase.

Among the many features that WORLDPAC's clients appreciate are the huge line of products the company offers, an easy-to-use online program (speedDIAL), outstanding salespeople, competitive pricing, dependable delivery and consistent product availability. The overwhelming customer comment was the 'ease of doing business' with WORLDPAC. Thus, it is no surprise that WORLDPAC is recognized as the Best Program Distributor for Replacement Parts.

Bob Cushing, President and CEO of WORLDPAC, accepted the award on behalf of WORLDPAC during Frost & Sullivan's April awards banquet held on Florida's Marco Island:

"On behalf of WORLDPAC'S 2500 North American teammates, I would like to thank Frost & Sullivan for this very prestigious award. We thank the automotive business owners and technicians, our customers, who recognize and depend upon the 'value added' program we provide. As we continue to expand our import program and our recently introduced domestic program, we will remain highly focused in providing the very best service and solutions to our customers."

Frost & Sullivan Best Practice Awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service and strategic product development. Customer Research analysts conduct the survey research and perform analysis on the results to identify best practices in the industry. Each year, the Frost & Sullivan Automotive Technicians' Choice Award is bestowed upon the company that demonstrates excellence in its category. The recipient has distinguished itself through its proactive strategies that position it as an industry leader.
