FSA Announces Clampdown on Packaged Bank Accounts

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - July 27, 2012) - The FSA (Financial Services Authority) has announced that new rules will come into force in March next year around the selling of packaged bank accounts.

iSmart Consumer Solutions, one the country's leading claims management companies which is already actively working with customers to seek redress for the mis-selling of these accounts, has welcomed the news.

Ryan Horne, Managing Director of iSmart, commented: "We are delighted to see new regulations coming in which will make the banks ask customers whether they want these accounts and whether they can use the products included in them.

We have already been able to claim back charges on behalf of customers because they have been mis sold - and we believe there are many people out there in the same situation."
