Kodomo Park Transforms Android Smartphones Into Kid-Safe Learning Environment

EL SEGUNDO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 24, 2013) - Fuhu Inc., creator of the award-winning nabi tablet, and KDDI, Japan's second largest mobile phone carrier, announced today the launch of Kodomo Park, a new mobile kid-safe platform providing access to educational apps in a safe and protected environment for children and families in Japan.

Kodomo Park (kodomo means "kids" in Japanese) is a collaboration between Fuhu, with their knowledge and experience in the US as an innovator in kids' products and services delivering Learn, Play, Grow experiences, and KDDI, with its expertise as a carrier and ability to aggregate engaging and appealing educational content in Japan.

Kodomo Park provides a kid-friendly environment where children between the ages of 0 to 6 can play various educational apps under parents' management. Kodomo Park features over 50 various apps authorized as 'safe and sound' by KDDI's audit process and most apps are available at no additional cost with a fixed monthly fee. This new platform will be available to download, free of charge, beginning July 1 in KDDI's au App Market for all of its family of Android smartphones.
