Fujitsu ETERNUS Storage Systems Included in 2006 Magic Quadrant for Midrange Enterprise Disk Arrays and MarketScope for High-End Enterprise Disk Arrays

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 7, 2007 -- Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation today announced that the ETERNUS®4000 and ETERNUS®8000 storage systems are included in the latest reports from Gartner. Fujitsu Midrange Disk Arrays were positioned in the "Challengers" quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Midrange Enterprise Disk Arrays, 2H06(1), and they were also rated "Promising" in the Gartner "MarketScope for High-End Enterprise Disk Arrays, 2006."(2)

Since broadening its approach to the global storage market over the last year and a half, Fujitsu is making solid gains in the sale of complete enterprise solutions including servers, storage systems, and mobile computing products. ETERNUS4000 and ETERNUS8000 deliver advanced data security including disk data encryption for the maximum protection of sensitive information. Both systems offer MAID (Massive Arrays of Inactive Disks) technology for reduced power consumption and extended life. In addition, ETERNUS8000 delivers the world's largest storage capacity with 1.38 petabytes of internal storage.

"Fujitsu ETERNUS is establishing itself in the North American market and stacks up extremely well against competing offerings," said Richard McCormack, senior vice president of marketing at Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation. "We believe the Fujitsu reputation for delivering highly reliable solutions with excellent performance and the best customer service in the industry will quickly earn ETERNUS a place among the top-selling storage solutions in the region."
