Funambol, Marvell & chumby Showcase Mobile Cloud Connected Devices at CES

Open source cloud technology simplifies wireless sharing of rich media and more

REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 6, 2011) - Funambol, the open source mobile cloud company, today announced that it will demonstrate the wireless sharing of data and content across consumer devices via the cloud in conjunction with Marvell, a leader in integrated silicon solutions and chumby, an app player for connected devices. This connected device showcase will be held in Marvell's booth (#30642) at the Consumer Electronics Show where attendees can get a first glimpse of this solution.

The showcase illustrates how easy it is to share data and media across devices. "The connected device category is rapidly growing to encompass more than just smartphones or tablets, but a wide variety of devices, from vending machines to vehicle communication systems," said Amit Chawla, Funambol CEO. "We are excited to bring this vision to life with Marvell and chumby at CES, and to illustrate how open source facilitates universal device and content connectivity."
