Functional Technologies Corporation Retains Pathfinder Ventures Corporation to Provide Investor Relations Services

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 27, 2010) - Functional Technologies Corporation (TSX VENTURE:FEB) is pleased to announce that it has retained the services of Pathfinder Ventures Corporation ("Pathfinder"), of Vancouver, BC, to provide investor relations services, subject to regulatory approval. Pathfinder, which is engaged in the business of providing investor relations and introductory services to listed companies, will assist in initiating and maintaining contact with the financial community, shareholders, investors and other stakeholders for the purpose of increasing awareness of Functional Technologies and its activities.

The agreement is effective December 17, 2010 for a term of one year and may be terminated by either party at any time with 30 days notice. Under the terms of the services agreement, Pathfinder will receive $2,500 per month plus allowable expenses, which Functional Technologies intends to pay from general working capital. The company has also granted Pathfinder 200,000 options vesting over 18 months, each option entitling the holder thereof to acquire one common share of the company at an exercise price of $0.67 per common share for a period of five years. The options expire within 30 days in the event that the relationship terminates.

Pathfinder Ventures, which is owned by Greg Andrews, has advised that it does not own any interest in Functional Technologies or its securities, aside from the stock options described in this news release. Greg Andrews has advised that he owns or controls 5,500 common shares of Functional Technologies.
