Functional Technologies to Apply for Extension of Creditor Protection Period

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 22, 2013) - Functional Technologies Corp. (TSX VENTURE:FEB) (the "Company") reports that it intends to make court application for an extension of the initial 30 day creditor protection period reported in the Company's news release of April 25, 2013.

The Company also reports that Maurice Boucher has resigned from his consulting positions with the Company. The Company thanks Mr. Boucher for the services he has provided.
