Futura Mobility Expands Healthcare Division Through Partnership With Practice Unite

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - August 06, 2014) - Futura Mobility, a company specializing in mobile technology services for the healthcare industry, today announced the expansion of its healthcare division through a strategic partnership with mHealth technology company, Practice Unite.

The two-year initiative is a part of Futura's growth strategy, a unique approach that utilizes collaborative partnerships to provide clinicians and healthcare organizations with the infrastructure, workflow and compliance necessary to unify their mobile IT strategy. The partnership will allow Futura to integrate Practice Unite's HIPAA-compliant messaging application with their IT services.

"Practice Unite developed the tools, and Futura has the expertise in deployment and services," says Futura Mobility CEO David Gulian. "Through this partnership, Futura is one step closer to offering healthcare providers with a more unified solution to clinical communications."

Practice Unite was developed in 2011 and was designed to improve clinical efficiency through streamlined workflows and improved communication. The app is fully customizable and HIPAA-compliant, creating a two-way communication channel between hospitals and clinicians. Physicians can use the app to send 256-bit encrypted text messages, search for specialists, facilitate outpatient procedure requests, conduct physician surveys, and send emergency alerts.

"In addition to improved workflow, one of the most important components to the Practice Unite system is the focus on driving physician adoption," says Dr. Stu Hochron, Practice Unite's Chief Medical Officer. "The partnership with Futura Mobility is key to helping deployment and adoption and meeting the new needs of the transforming healthcare industry."

"The healthcare industry is changing, and creating partnerships is vital for growth," says GULIAN. "The partnership between Futura Mobility and Practice Unite proves that a new breed of relationship building is happening across health IT. This Partnership provides a one-stop shop so that healthcare organizations can offer patients the highest possible value and outcomes."
