PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - August 12, 2014) - Futura Mobility, a company specializing in mobile technology services for the healthcare industry, today announced plans to improve the patient experience through the launch of a new, strategic partnership with patient engagement software developer, Innovatient Solutions.
The partnership will focus on outcome improvement and an interactive approach to patient engagement. Through the use of 'InnVision', Innovatient's flagship product, healthcare facilities can communicate with patients through the televisions in hospital rooms. Each patient's care management plan can be automated and personalized, and serve as an interactive tool that will educate and empower patients to take a more proactive role in their post-discharge treatment plan.
While InnVision was created for use on the patient's in-room television, some hospitals are choosing to install the software on patient-facing tablets at the bedside, hoping to further increase engagement and satisfaction. Futura Mobility lends their expertise in technology to help facilitate this decision based on individual goals, workflows, and budgets.
"We are really excited to partner with Innovatient and help healthcare providers thrive in a changing industry," says Futura Mobility CEO David Gulian. "By working together, our partnership will help with the wellness and connectivity of patients so that caregivers can get real-time visibility to their patients and patients can get real-time visibility to their clinical support."
Innovatient was founded in 2011 when CEO Jolinda Lambert saw the need for an easy-to-implement, and easy-to-support patient engagement solution to deliver personalized, engaging experiences resulting in improved outcomes. Through the agreement, Futura will serve as Innovatient's primary partner, and has acquired the licensing rights that allow Futura to deliver the product directly to healthcare providers, from consultation, to implementation and support.
"This partnership allows us to provide healthcare facilities with an engaging, easy-to-use communication tool for patients and their families," says Innovatient CEO Jolinda Lambert. "By combining our platform with Futura's expertise in mobile IT services, we're working together to help healthcare facilities save time, reduce costs and improve clinical outcomes."
Since the healthcare reform, hospitals and caregivers have faced tremendous pressure to adopt and use Electronic Health Records (EHR) in a meaningful way. Due to HCAHPS, hospitals now face fines if their readmission rates are too high, and are rewarded if they do well on a benchmark of clinical outcomes and patient surveys.
"Information is power. Knowledge is power," says Gulian. "We are seeing a huge shift in healthcare where patients are becoming consumers. Providing this platform will offer them with a personalized, engaging experience, and empower patients to take a more pro-active role in their health."
