Future U.S. Appoints Gary Steinman as Editor in Chief for

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 16, 2011) - Future U.S., the special-interest media company, today announced the appointment of Gary Steinman as Editor in Chief for, the company's premier gaming website.

In his role as Editor in Chief, Steinman will lead the GamesRadar team, helping the site maintain its voice and high quality while expanding its audience and reach. Steinman will work closely with Annette Cardwell, Director of Digital Content, to develop new initiatives and content directions that appeal to core and casual gamers alike.

Steinman is a fifteen-year veteran of the publishing industry, beginning his career in business publishing, holding posts at Dow Jones, The Conference Board and Steinman then transitioned to games, serving as Managing Editor for Official PlayStation Magazine at Ziff Davis for five years. In 2003, Steinman became editor in chief and publisher of Newtype USA, the top anime magazine in North America, and while at the same company also took on the editorial director role at ADV Manga, a book publishing division focusing on Japanese comics. In 2008, Steinman joined Future U.S., where he has held a variety of roles, including editor in chief of PC Gamer and, most recently, editor in chief of PlayStation: The Official Magazine.
