GAF Receives Esteemed "Partners of Choice" Award From David Weekley Homes

PARSIPPANY, NJ--(Marketwired - Aug 1, 2016) - GAF, North America's largest roofing manufacturer, is proud to have received its seventh distinguished Partners of Choice Award from David Weekley Homes, the country's largest privately held builder. GAF received an "A" ranking in quality and is one of only twenty-five suppliers, of the two hundred evaluated, to be recognized with this honor. Winners compete against every sector of the building materials industry.

Each year, David Weekley Homes challenges its entire supply chain to provide the highest level of quality products and superior service through a unique evaluation platform that quantifies its National Trading Partners' efforts in achieving excellence. Approximately 1,000 team members from every level of the company are surveyed and asked to rank trading partners in both quality and service with a score from one to ten. The scores for each company are averaged and an alpha rating is assigned relative to its ranking with other suppliers. Companies achieving a ranking in the top twenty percent are recognized with the nationally acclaimed Partners of Choice Award.

"We are excited to receive this award again and honored to receive recognition for the focus GAF puts on quality across all aspects of the roofing system," stated Paul Bromfield, chief marketing officer at GAF.

"To be world class, you must get up every day and perform at levels that exceed all others," said Bill Justus, vice president of supply chain services for David Weekley Homes and chief architect behind the Supplier Feedback Platform. "Our rigorous supplier feedback platform is a practical way to measure performance and, hence, world-class excellence. Through their actions, our friends at GAF have proven to be best of the breed in providing quality products to our team."
