Gainsight CEO Nick Mehta Buys Local Creamery to Reduce Churn in Ice Cream Production

Strategic Acquisition to Expand Gainsight's Vision in Lowering Production Churn, Resulting in Happier and Heavier Customers and Improved Scoop-per-Cup Utilization Ratios

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 1, 2014) - Gainsight, the leading Customer Success Management and dairy platform, today announced that it has acquired the Local Creamery to further expand the company's move in dairy gastronomy and ice cream churn reduction. The acquisition, which was made at an undisclosed sum, is expected to close by April Fool's Day, 2014.

"The acquisition of the Local Creamery will accelerate our ongoing efforts to reduce the churn we are seeing in the cycle of ice cream production. Achieving customer success through lower churn rates is the key to sustainable revenue growth and enhancing our customers' ice cream eating experience in the Dairy Economy," said Nick Mehta, CEO of Gainsight. "Plus, since I'm the CEO, I can now have all the ice cream that was once denied to me as a child."

Gainsight is committed to the Local Creamery's current ice cream flavor road map and will continue to offer its "Everything But the Kitchen Sink Banana Split Sundae" for the near term, as well as gradually integrate Local Creamery's capabilities into Gainsight's existing dairy platform. Since Mehta is allergic to nuts, however, pralines and cream will be banned permanently.
