SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Oct 7, 2013) - GameSalad Inc., a leading provider of mobile game development tools with over 700,000 developers, today announced it is working with Amazon in support of the Kindle Fire game development community. GameSalad's professional suite of game development tools will be free to developers (a $299 value) interested in building games for the Kindle Fire line of tablets. Specifically optimized for the Fire OS 3.0 'Mojito,' GameSalad's new development options include drag-and-drop integration with Amazon's In-App Purchase and GameCircle APIs, as well as Priority Tech Support with a 24-hour response time and App Monetization features including the Amazon in-app purchasing API. These features provide developers a fast and simple development environment that does not require any coding experience. All a prospective user needs is some creativity to bring a game to life.
"GameSalad is excited to work with Amazon to make it easier for developers to create games for Fire OS and get them discovered in the Amazon Appstore," said Steve Felter, GameSalad CEO. "Kindle Fire tablets are incredibly popular and as its user base continues to soar, demand for high quality indie games continues to increase. Developers can now tap into that marketplace more quickly, easily and now for free using the GameSalad platform, offering consumers a wide variety of top indie games."
"GameSalad's tools open doors for developers and non-developers alike to harness their creativity and bring their games to the Kindle Fire family. With the new line of Kindle Fire devices, our customers will enjoy more games produced through GameSalad and delivered on premium devices, including Kindle Fire HD and HDX," said Steve Rabuchin, General Manager Amazon Appstore.
For developers who submit their games by the end of November 30th, GameSalad will also provide a free one month GameSalad Pro license for each game submitted. The GameSalad Pro license will allow developers to also deploy and monetize their apps on additional mobile marketplaces.
