Gaming Ventures Appoints Leading Games Developer as Director of GV Game Development Ltd

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - March 11, 2008) - Gaming Ventures Plc, the PLUS quoted gaming and entertainment company (PLUS:GAMP), today announces it has appointed Geoff Hall, a leading games development professional, as Director of subsidiary company, GV Game Development Ltd.

GV Game Development is the Gaming Ventures Company tasked with the identification of new gaming opportunities in the Satellite TV, IPTV, Online, Mobile and Real World markets. Having identified an opening, GV Game Development will conceive, design and deliver games to the market via Gaming Ventures products and services, selected channel partners, or under license to leading third party distributors.

Geoff Hall is a leading figure in the games development arena, an ex mathematics and statistics lecturer who has had notable success with the popular and profitable casino variant Blackjack Switch. This and other games are now available to play on a rapidly growing number of casino tables world wide where they are improving game play and house rake significantly. Geoff's games have translated well to FOBT terminals, and 'Switch' was the flagship product on the JPM International stand at the recent ICE trade show. Geoff was also instrumental in the redesign of the Playtech Poker room, including the addition of revised anti-collusion software and systems. He has licensed other games via Wagerworks and both advises and consults for Shufflemaster and Millennium Games.

Speaking for Gaming Ventures, David Abbott, Business Development Director stated: "We are delighted to welcome Geoff to the team. There are huge opportunities emerging in gaming across a range of media types, and by using Geoff's skills we are going to be able to design or modify games in order to add excitement and improve customer recruitment, retention and profitability. In order to exploit these opportunities and access the revenue streams these new games can offer, Gaming Ventures required a professional of Geoff Hall's stature.

Geoff Hall added "I am delighted to be part of the Gaming Ventures team. Games design is only part of the challenge, and whilst I have been successful in getting games to market, in the real world I have not yet been able to fully exploit the opportunities presented by new media channels. By joining Gaming Ventures, I will be able to widen my consult with TV, Web and Mobile Internet providers and focus on designing games that will appeal to consumers of these products. Gaming Ventures will then manage the distribution and monetisation of the new games".

For Gaming Ventures, CEO Graham Martin concluded "I am particularly pleased that Geoff has chosen to join us. We are already focusing on some very exiting gaming initiatives in the TV and Web Space and I look forward to reporting progress as soon as the new games are ready for release onto the market".

The Directors of the issuer accept responsibility for this announcement.
