Garda Announces the Appointment of Christopher W. Jamroz as President & Chief Operating Officer of Garda Cash Logistics

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, CANADA--(Marketwire - Dec. 20, 2010) - Garda Cash Logistics, America's premium provider and a subsidiary of Garda World Security Corporation, (TSX:GW) (Garda), one of the most trusted cash logistics, security solutions and global risk consulting firms in the world, today announced its President, Richard Drutman, will be retiring in April 2011 after 30 years of outstanding service for Garda, and the appointment of Christopher W. Jamroz, formerly an executive at JPMorgan Chase & Co, as its new President and Chief Operating Officer.

As part of this management transition, Mr. Drutman will assume the position of Vice Chairman of Garda Cash Logistics to ensure a smooth transition and continue to help drive the company's organic growth and further strengthen its client relationships. He will be invited to join Garda World Security Corporation's Board of Directors as its cash logistics expert at the corporation's annual shareholders' meeting in June 2011.

"Thanks to Dick's leadership and inspiration, the integration of the cash logistics organizations under Garda and the development of our market-leading platform have forged our success and leadership in the North American market." said Garda's President and CEO Stephan Cretier. "He helped me establish a strong entrepreneurial culture as seven companies were integrated into "One Garda", achieving significant operational synergies. He focused his management team on achieving superior quality and results in a totally customer-centric organization."

Mr. Jamroz, formerly a senior client executive at JPMorgan Chase & Co, one of the most respected financial institutions in the world, was a trusted advisor to executive management teams and boards of directors of leading corporations. Previously he held a variety of senior management positions in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. He is a strategic leader with demonstrated tactical effectiveness and a global perspective.

"This is the most significant management transition within our cash logistics organization since the acquisition of AT Systems in 2007," said Mr. Cretier. "Chris brings energy, a passion for customer service and a fresh perspective to Garda. He will focus on new business development, establishing close strategic partnerships with clients, relentless attention to service quality and product innovation, and effective cross-selling of the broader value-added service offering. I am certain that his dynamic, visionary leadership and creative entrepreneurial spirit will contribute greatly to our continued success in becoming the premier cash logistics provider in North America."

"Having advised best-in-class corporations across a wide spectrum of industries, I recognize Garda as an entrepreneurial organization with the talent, the commitment and the rigorous focus on execution required to help transform the industries it serves," Mr. Jamroz said. "I am honored to join Garda Cash Logistics and help strengthen our strategic platform as we become the best operator in the industry. Successful commerce today depends on efficiency, security and transparency of currency supply chain management and Garda's leadership in driving the highest service quality standards is providing its clients with the solutions they need to succeed in such a profoundly changing market environment."

Mr. Jamroz received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies with First Class Honors from the University of Central England, and an MBA with Distinction from the Schulich School of Business at York University. He is involved in a number of advisory councils and charitable organizations. He was the Co-Founder and Chairman of the United Foundation for the Education of Children and the Chair of JPMorgan Junior Achievement programs. Mr. Jamroz will be based out of Garda's US head office in Pasadena, California.

"I am also announcing today that Alain Dumont, Senior Vice President, Strategic Corporate Development, has made a personal decision to leave Garda Cash Logistics in order to return to Montreal in 2011." Mr. Cretier said. "Over the next 18-24 months, Alain will be acting as an external consultant to Garda's Cash Logistics senior management on several specific mandates. Alain joined Garda as Chief Financial Officer in 2003 when it was a $85 million company. Through the years, he has been a trusted colleague, partner and, most importantly, a friend." His contributions to Garda's success are numerous, including his participation in the growth of Garda through close to 20 acquisitions, financings and his most recent assignment assisting Richard Drutman and his leadership team in the complete integration of the Cash Logistics organizations into Garda.
