Garlock Protects Equipment With Strainer Gaskets

PALMYRA, NY--(Marketwired - August 11, 2016) -

Highlights:

  • Strainer gaskets protect product integrity and downstream equipment
  • Product configurable for inside diameter, mesh, material, shape
  • Mesh sizes from 20 to 100

Garlock, a leading manufacturer of high-performance fluid sealing products, announces its line of strainer gaskets that provide an affordable way to remove particulates and debris from process fluids.

The new strainer gaskets are suitable for standard flanged connections and can be inserted upstream from sensitive and costly processing equipment. They may be deployed as a single filter or as a graduated system of several strainers that consume less space and at a lower cost than other methods like filtration cartridges.

Garlock strainer gaskets are available in a variety of gasket materials and thicknesses, including the widely specified BLUE-GARD® Style 3000. Stainless steel plain mesh weave is standard, in 20, 40, 50, 60 or 100 mesh, or are available with dual layers (i.e. 100 & 20 mesh) depending on your filtration requirements. Other configurable options include:

  • Non-standard sizes including rectangular designs.
  • With or without a tab for gasket installation and location identification
  • Inner diameters ranging from 1.2 inches to 30 inches.

"Customers can now look to Garlock for an affordable and simple way to add filtration to their process flow," Garlock Senior Product Manager Chris Hicks said. "The infinitely configurable nature of our strainer gaskets means we can help regardless of what your filtration needs are, or what the custom nature of your processing equipment is."
