Garrison International-4000m Diamond Drilling Program Commences at Bonanza Style Tovshiir Project in Sukhbaatar Province, Mongolia

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 11, 2007) - Garrison (TSX VENTURE:GAU) is pleased to announce that drilling has commenced on a 4000m program at the recently acquired Tovshiir Project in Sukhbaatar Province, Mongolia. A geologic team whom are currently undertaking 1:1000 scale geological mapping at the Tovshiir Project have identified several high grade drilling targets that will explore the width and down dip extent of the outcropping mineralization. This work will better define the scope and size potential of the project. In particular, the first 5 holes will help to confirm that the prospect is a low angle thrust system - a model similar in structure to the Boroo property in Northern Mongolia.

The first diamond drill hole fence being undertaken will target a series of shallow holes across the strike of the 120m wide mineralised zone and will establish the parameters of the mineralisation to allow a full program to be planned as well as advance the understanding of this thrust model complex.

A sampling protocol has been adopted that is compliant with 43-101 reporting with the insertion of standards and blank samples and a strict adherence to logging and sampling procedures. This will ensure that the data will be of high quality for our resource modelling work. Screen fire assay techniques from accredited Actlab laboratory will assess the extent of the free gold observed in near surface workings.

All necessary permits for drilling of the Tovshiir project have been received which include environmental permitting, water use permitting, reclamation of drill sites and a general land use permit. The program has been signed off by the provincial Governor and has the full support of the Mongolian government. Camp construction continues with facilities being built for core storage and a data entry office is nearing completion. Garrison's wholly owned Mongolian subsidiary, Garrison Asia LLC, is employing an all Mongolian Support Team under a management team of consultants from Australia and Canada.
