Garry M. Foster Appointed as President & CEO of the Baycrest Foundation

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 10, 2014) - Baycrest Health Sciences is pleased to announce that Garry M. Foster has been appointed as the President & CEO of the Baycrest Foundation.

Mr. Foster joined the Foundation in September 2013 on an interim basis. He is delighted to continue on in this appointment full-time.

Mr. Laurence Goldstein, Chair of the Board, Baycrest Foundation, believes the Foundation has a bright future under Mr. Foster.

Mr. Foster is the former Chair of the Baycrest Board of Directors. He is the former Vice-Chair of Deloitte, a member of the Board of Trustees of Calloway REIT, Chair of the Board of Cogniciti Inc., a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a Member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and has served some of Canada's largest and most prestigious companies. His experience includes advising companies on governance, mergers, acquisition and a wide range of financial activities.

His extensive list of volunteer executive roles includes Vice-Chair of the Baycrest Foundation (2011-12); Member of the Board of Trustees for the Baycrest Foundation (2008-2011); Member of Council, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (2007-2011); Chair of the Board of Governors, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (2008-2011); President, Jewish Family and Child Services (1994-1996); and Member of the Board of UJA Federation of Greater Toronto (1996-1999).
