Garson Gold Intersects 10.56 Grams Gold Per Tonne Over 1.98 Metres in the No. 3 Zone, New Britannia Gold Mine Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 12, 2007) - GARSON GOLD CORP. (TSX VENTURE:GG) ("Garson Gold") is pleased to announce that assays have been received from the ongoing diamond drilling program on the 100% owned New Britannia Gold Mine property ("NBM") located at Snow Lake, Manitoba. The results include intersections of 10.56 grams per tonne (g/t) Au over 1.98 metres (m) and 4.26 g/t Au over 6.00 m. The results are from the NBM No. 3 Zone where Garson Gold has completed a total of 5,741 m (18,833 feet) in 11 holes. Previously announced results from the No. 3 Zone (April 18, 2007) include an intersection of 11.47 g/t Au over 4.94 m. Significant intersections from the current drilling are reported below in Table 1.

(i) Several of the drill holes intersected gold mineralization up hole from
the targeted Main zone, referred to as the Hangingwall (HW) Zone.
The significance and continuity of these intersections will be evaluated in
future drilling at NBM No. 3 Zone.

Garson Gold is executing an aggressive evaluation of the New Britannia Gold Mine property which includes data compilation, resource assessment, geophysical surveying, soil geochemistry surveys, and diamond drilling. A second drill will be added to the program early in August and it is anticipated that a third drill will be added during the fall. The current drilling at NBM No. 3 Zone illustrates the potential to expand the Zone down plunge of the historical resource. The objectives of future (ongoing) drilling at No. 3 Zone include testing the down-plunge potential to the 2,000 foot level, drilling the previously untested area up dip of the historical resource, and infill drilling appropriate to support geological interpretation and resource estimation. Gold mineralized intersections in the Hangingwall Zone represent a newly recognized opportunity within the NBM No. 3 Zone. In addition to testing the NBM No. 3 Main Zone, future drilling will be directed towards assessing the continuity and significance of these intersections in the Hangingwall Zone.

Jamie Lavigne, M.Sc., P.Geo and Vice President Exploration for Garson Gold, is the Qualified Person under NI 43-101 responsible for the verification and quality assurance of the NBM exploration data and analytical results. Gold concentrations are determined on half core at TSL Laboratories in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan using conventional sample preparation and assay techniques. For details of sampling and analytical procedures used on the NBM project, see April 18, 2007 news release which can be viewed at www.garsongold.ca.

The New Britannia Gold Mine Project covers approximately 3,900 hectares and hosts the historic New Britannia Gold Mine which operated from 1949 to 1958 and again from 1995 to 2004 producing approximately 1.43 million ounces of recovered gold. The current resource estimate at the New Britannia Mine property, completed by Kinross Gold Corporation and audited by Micon International Ltd. to NI 43-101 standards, includes a total of 364,000 ounces Au (2.21 million tonnes at 5.11 grams Au per tonne) in the measured and indicated categories and a further 176,000 ounces Au (1.10 million tonnes at 5.01 grams per tonnes) in the inferred category. The NBM No. 3 Zone has an inferred resource of 50,000 ounces Au (0.22 million tonnes at 7.10 grams Au per tonne). The mineral resource estimates were completed using a gold price of US$400 per ounce and are reported in a National Instrument 43-101 technical report filed December 8, 2006 and available for viewing on Sedar (www.sedar.com) and www.garsongold.ca.
