Garson Gold Intersects 38.5 Metres of 2.18 g/t Gold Near Surface

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 18, 2008) - GARSON GOLD CORP. (TSX VENTURE:GG) ("Garson Gold" or "the Company") is pleased to announce diamond drill results from two zones on its 100% owned New Britannia Mine property, Snow Lake, Manitoba: the Boundary Zone and the Upper Ruttan Zone of the Main Mine workings area. Highlights of these results include an intersection of 2.18 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over an intersection length of 38.5 metres (m) from hole BDY08-81 at the Boundary Zone and an intersection of 5.25 g/t gold over an intersection length of 6.52 m from hole HB08-42 from the Upper Ruttan Zone. A summary of significant intercepts is contained in Table 1 below. These results mark the conclusion of the 25,000 metre 2008 drill campaign, which tested four zones on the New Britannia property: the No. 3 Zone, Kim Zone, Boundary Zone, and the Main Mine area.


The Company has completed a number of short diamond drill holes with the objective of evaluating the near-surface, open-pit potential at the Boundary Zone. Previously released results from the short hole drill program include diamond drill hole BDY08-77 which intersected 2.43 g/t gold over an intersection length of 48.77 m (October 30, 2008 news release) and a number of holes (October 20, 2008 news release) which included 2.76 g/t gold over an intersection length of 10.88 m in BDY08-57. These results, and the results of deeper drilling at Boundary Zone, including BDY08-32 which intersected 7.67 g/t over an intersection length of 7.22 m, are being evaluated by the Company for resource estimation potential and follow-up diamond drilling. The Company is currently completing a comprehensive compilation of previous diamond drilling at and adjacent to the Main Mine. The four diamond drill holes reported from this area were planned to test preliminary interpretation of the up dip potential at the Upper Ruttan Zone adjacent to the Main Mine development. All four holes intersected the interpreted mineralized structures with variable grades and widths. The results of this drilling will be integrated into the on-going compilation and interpretation to guide further exploration and determine the potential for resource expansion of the Main Mine.

Garson Gold holds a 100% interest in The New Britannia Mine (NBM) Project in Snow Lake, Manitoba, as well as the Copper Prince and the McMillan Gold Mine properties located in Ontario. The Company's flagship project is the NBM, which covers approximately 4,840 hectares and hosts the historic New Britannia Gold Mine which operated from 1949 to 1958 and again from 1995 to 2004 and produced approximately 1.43 million ounces of gold.
