Gartner Again Recognizes Alpine Data as a Visionary in 2016 Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms

Alpine Data Named to "Visionaries" Quadrant for Second Consecutive Year Based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 11, 2016) - Alpine Data today announced that Gartner, Inc., has positioned the company as a Visionary in its 2016 Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms* report. The comprehensive industry report, designed to provide guidance for the entire Advanced Analytics market, selected only 16 companies, based on completeness of vision and execution.

The positioning comes as Alpine is in the midst of its most prolific period of innovation, including:

  • The launch of Alpine Touchpoints, a completely new way to make Advanced Analytics accessible across an Enterprise. Touchpoints is an industry-first application services layer that enables data science teams to embed predictive analytics into everyday business routines and applications to deliver more analytically-driven, measurable results. Touchpoints transforms the genius of data science into business assets that enrich the daily activities of the people who drive business value every day; and
  • The delivery of an extensibility framework for developing custom algorithms that can be plugged directly into Alpine's parallel machine learning engine. Complementing Alpine Touchpoints, the framework enables teams to leverage open source technologies and algorithms and to create, manage and distribute frequently-requested analytic assets to business users directly into their existing activities and workflows.

"Enterprises of all sizes are recognizing the imperative to leverage the power of predictive analytics in everyday business, and we continue to push the innovation agenda to bridge the gap between data science teams and business users to make that happen," said Joe Otto, CEO, Alpine Data. "We believe Alpine is positioned to continue to lead the shift to make high value predictive analytics part of everyday business."

As evidence of this shift, Alpine Data and its customer eviCore healthcare were honored as winners of the 2015 Ventana Research Leadership Award for Predictive Analytics. Ventana Research analysts awarded Alpine Data and eviCore with the Leadership Award based on the merit of their work to optimize eviCore decision making in securing the best possible healthcare outcomes for its clients and patients.
