Gartner Places Forsythe on the Integrated IT Portfolio Magic Quadrant for Its KillerIT Solution

KillerIT Recognized for the First Time as a 'Visionary' in Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications

SKOKIE, IL--(Marketwired - Dec 9, 2014) - Forsythe Technology, Inc., a leading North American information technology (IT) infrastructure integrator, announced today that Gartner, Inc. has positioned the company in the Visionaries Quadrant of its November 18, 2014, "Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications" for the first time for its KillerIT solution.

As a cloud software subsidiary of Forsythe, KillerIT uses a data-driven application scoring methodology that enables unification of business and IT strategies while creating a Buy-Hold-Sell categorization of an enterprise's entire IT portfolio. This allows organizations to separate its assets into two groups -- the valuable and the valueless, which provides the opportunity to clean up their portfolio and prioritize its business assets.

KillerIT was also was named a Gartner "Cool Vendor in Program and Portfolio Management" by analysts Robert A. Handler, Jim Duggan and Daniel B. Stang on May 2, 2014.

"We believe this recognition from Gartner is a clear indication of the value major enterprises are finding in KillerIT's ability to move them from old IT to new IT. The process is done through asset value recognition and discussion around cost, value and risk," said Robert Dvorak, president and founder of KillerIT. "We are focused on delivering the industry's best application management cloud software to empower our clients to drive business performance."

KillerIT evaluates enterprises' asset portfolios and solves various business and IT problems by reducing costs and complexity, identifying and removing duplicate application functionally, and revealing shadow IT. This gives the enterprise the capacity to deliver new capabilities as well as the ability to prioritize assets for support and improvement decisions. This creates a roadmap for future technology acquisitions and integrations -- all while providing cost, value and risk transparency.

"Gartner is seeing a significant number of inquiries confirming that today's IT departments are moving quickly to better understand the multiple facets that make up the overall IT 'portfolio,'" the Magic Quadrant report reads. "Recent Gartner inquiry points to a marked increase in application rationalization and portfolio management maturity in IT, leading to more active integration of the application portfolio with the IT project and other IT portfolios."
