GateHouse Media Launches 174 Newspaper Sites on Zope4Media

FREDERICKSBURG, VA and FAIRPORT, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 16, 2007 --Zope Corporation and GateHouse Media, Inc. (NYSE: GHS) announced today that GateHouse Media has successfully launched 170 of its weekly newspapers and four (4) daily newspapers on the hosted Zope4Media platform. GateHouse Media plans to roll out the Zope4Media content management system to all of its Internet publications by early 2008.

"Building our online business is a top priority for GateHouse Media, both in terms of revenue and audience," said Mike Reed, CEO of GateHouse Media. "Our goal with implementing the Zope system is to improve our online revenues whether through testing new revenue projects in selected markets or by launching a proven idea quickly across our entire company."

"The Zope4Media platform has allowed GateHouse to focus on training journalists at weekly papers to publish daily content on the web, while not distracting them with the technology," said Bill Blevins, Vice President of Internet Operations. "As we bring our daily papers online using Zope4Media, sites already on the platform will benefit from the new features required by the larger sites. Our smallest newspaper will have the same tools to help grow their online audience and revenue as our largest newspaper. This technology is powerful and very flexible and Zope is clearly a leader in this field."

"We are delighted that GateHouse selected Zope4Media as the platform for their Internet technology consolidation," said Rob Page, CEO of Zope Corporation. "Together we're building innovative products and processes which enhance our offerings. This is having substantial impact at newspapers as more customers go online with Zope."
