Gateway Casinos Income Fund Announces Distribution Increase

BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 16, 2006) - Gateway Casinos Income Fund (the "Fund" or "Gateway") (TSX:GCI.UN), one of the largest casino operators in Western Canada, today announced that its Board of Trustees has approved an increase in the Fund's monthly distribution. The monthly distribution will increase by $0.0055, or 4.6%, from $0.1195 per unit to $0.1250 per unit, beginning with the October 2006 distribution. The October 2006 distribution will be paid to unitholders of record at the close of business on November 27, 2006 and will be payable on November 30, 2006.

"The Fund has continued to perform well this fiscal year resulting in increased distributable cash, which we are pleased to pass on to our unitholders," said Dave Gadhia, CEO of Gateway Casinos G.P. Inc. "Burnaby and the Lake City Casinos have delivered solid sales and earnings results in recent quarters. In addition, Cascades has outperformed our expectations and has strong prospects for future growth as operations mature."
