GE and Cisco Systems Up for Four IR Magazine Awards 2008

Darden Restaurants Tops Mid-Cap List With Three Nominations

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 11, 2008) - Nominees have been announced for the IR Magazine US Awards 2008, highlighting the best of the best in US investor relations. GE and Cisco Systems topped the list of IR Magazine US Awards nominees with four nominations each, including the grand prix for best overall investor relations by a mega-cap company. Darden Restaurants, in the mid-cap category, also garnered three nominations -- the most in that group.

The winners will be announced at the annual black-tie awards ceremony, to be held this year for the first time at Cipriani Wall Street.

A full list of this year's nominees is available below or on our website at www.irmagazineus.com.

The awards will be hosted in association with Barron's and the Wall Street Journal, and will be co-sponsored by ACT Conferencing, The Bank of New York Mellon, Business Wire, Chorus Call, Deutsche Bank ADR Group, Edelman, Financial Times, GE, Georgeson, Innisfree M&A Incorporated, Institutional Investor, Ipreo, Laurel Hill Advisory Group, MacKenzie Partners, Marketwire, NASDAQ, NIRI, NYSE Euronext, PrimeNewswire, PR Newswire, Sage Holdings, Shareholder.com, SNL IR Solutions, Thomson Financial and Verizon Business. The event is also supported by the Partnership for New York City.

The awards are based on the results of an independent survey of more than 2,600 buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts and portfolio managers from both the US and abroad. The complete results of the survey will be published in IR magazine's Investor Perception Study, US 2008.

The IR magazine investor perception studies together make up the world's largest survey of this kind, canvassing more than 5,000 analysts and investors in more than 14 countries and regions. Survey respondents nominate companies in specific categories and offer their opinions on IR-related topics and trends. For more information on the study, please contact Kate Giblin at the number listed at the bottom of this release.
