(OTCBB: GLTC) (OTCQB: GLTC) announces the completion of its first annual FireIce Wildland Training Workshop, an event that was held in conjunction with Fletcher Flying Service the week of March 10 in LaBelle, FL. The workshop was designed to be a cost effective method of training multiple state and federal agency personnel on how to use and integrate FireIce as part of their wildland firefighting programs, including agencies involved in upcoming FireIce pilot programs this summer.
This inaugural event was developed and completed in a joint effort between GelTech Solutions, Fletcher Flying Service, AeroSpray, HydroMax, and FireBoss, with wildfire firefighting techniques and firefighting air tanker capability the main focus of discussion. Fletcher Flying Services hosted the event at its new headquarters, LaBelle Municipal Airport.
The event was an excellent opportunity for the attending companies to demonstrate and familiarize the latest technologies in wildland firefighting, including FireIce, to participants from the US Forest Service, Canada, Florida, Minnesota, Washington, Idaho and Colorado in preparation for what is anticipated to be a busy fire season across North America.
Fletcher's plan is to utilize the Labelle Municipal Airport as a strategically placed hub for operations and training throughout the year for wildland firefighting. This plan includes the addition of a mixing and loading facility for FireIce, increasing FireIce's exposure to state and federal agencies.
