GEM Forms Software Alliance With Lapis Solutions, LLC

Lapis to Direct Development of GEMWare Version 2.0

POMONA, CA--(Marketwire - June 25, 2008) - General Environmental Management, Inc. (OTCBB: GEVI) announced today it has executed an agreement with Lapis Solutions, LLC for the enhancement and development of GEM's proprietary environmental solutions software, GEMWare. Under this agreement, Lapis will provide programming and software support to GEM and its customers. At the core of this relationship, Lapis will spearhead the development of GEMWare version 2.0.

"GEMWare has been an important piece of our acquisition strategy, enabling us to integrate new firms relatively seamlessly," said Tim Koziol, GEM CEO. "The Lapis alliance will ultimately broaden our operating system capabilities, which will act as a key driver as we continue our national expansion by acquiring independent service providers (ISP's) and servicing multi-plant accounts."

Some of the features of GEMWare version 2.0 are the addition of an integrated compliance dashboard, third party systems integration, chemical and waste inventory management, customer and waste stream cost analysis, and added federal and state regulatory reports.

Lapis Solutions' support services will commence immediately.
