GEM Wins Contract With Regional Healthcare Provider Multi-Year Award Valued at Over $2.6 Million

POMONA, CA--(Marketwire - December 18, 2007) - General Environmental Management, Inc. (OTCBB: GEVI) announced today the award of an environmental services contract with a west coast healthcare provider. The 2 year contract, which contains options for an additional year, establishes GEM as the primary hazardous and non-hazardous waste management contractor for one of the nation's leading not-for-profit networks of community-based healthcare providers. GEM will be servicing over 50 locations including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and research & development locations. The contract is expected to support GEM's laboratory packaging services, GEMPak, with all waste materials routed through GEM's Rancho Cordova, California treatment, storage and disposal facility (TSDF). GEM will also be providing on-site safety and compliance training for the customers' technical personnel.
