Gemco Incorporates Subsidiary in Mexico and Advances Testing on Minerals / Precious Metals

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 7, 2007 -- Gemco Minerals Inc. (OTCBB: GMML)

Mr. Tom Hatton reports,

Gemco Minerals Inc. is pleased to announce that it has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary in Mexico under the name Black Stone Industries S.A. de C.V. Black Stone will carryout all required licensing, permitting and business activities on behalf of Gemco in Mexico. This includes Gemco's optioned properties and the 100% owned placer mineral properties under joint venture with Canamex as previously announced.

Gemco is also in the advanced stages of testing the mineral resources of magnetite, Ilmenite and construction sand on the properties in Mexico. Process Research Associates Ltd. (PRA) is conducting tests which involve sieve analysis, assays, and various methods of mineral extraction and separation. Levelton Consultants Ltd. is conducting tests to confirm that Gemco's mineral products conform to the state of California's required regulatory standards for use in the construction and industrial abrasives industries as well as other applications.

The California Air Regulatory Board (CARB) is also conducting its own comprehensive analysis to confirm that the various industrial products adhere to all the air quality standards required by the State of California. These standards are accepted internationally as the benchmark in the industry.

Gemco is working closely with Canamex to complete all of the specialized product testing and the engagement of the necessary professionals to carry out the pertinent geological works on the properties. During its preliminary testing, results have also indicated levels of gold and silver values on the properties which will be further quantified. Gemco is optimistic that our Joint Venture relationship with Canamex will result in many future opportunities in the region for our company and our shareholders.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,
Gemco Minerals Inc.
