Gemco Joint Ventures With Canamex

VANCOUVER, BC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 25, 2007 -- Gemco Minerals Inc. (OTCBB: GMML)

Mr. Tom Hatton reports,

Gemco Minerals Inc. is pleased to announce that it has entered into a 50/50 joint venture partnership with Mexican-registered Canamex Corporation. Canamex has been in the precious metal extraction research industry over the last twelve years. Gemco's initial joint venture with Canamex involves testing on a 250 hectare placer claim for its industrial minerals and gold values. The property has access and foreshore rights to the Pacific Ocean and is located on the Baja Peninsula of Mexico.

Further, Gemco has an option to purchase 100 percent interest in two additional placer claims. These properties consist of over 600 hectares, are approximately 27 kms in length with varied widths and several meters in depth. Preliminary testing shows estimates of a potential recovery of 5 million tonnes of alluvial magnetite and ilmenite mineral product, with assays also indicating recoverable gold and silver.

These industrial minerals are used in steel manufacturing, concrete, coatings and blast abrasives. Gemco's wholly owned subsidiary, Firstline Recovery Systems Inc., has run numerous tests over the last three years resulting in market acceptance for its natural mineral products. Firstline will be handling the marketing of mineral products to the industrial abrasive and other industries.

Gemco is pleased with the Joint Venture agreement and will work closely with Canamex to carry out the pertinent geological works. This includes hiring a Geological Consulting Engineer to conduct geophysical surveys and drill tests to further assess the quantity of the precious metals and industrial minerals on the properties. An Industrial Engineering firm is also being engaged to furnish Gemco with overall cost estimates for the permitting and construction of the production plant and facilities on the subject placer claims.

Gemco is optimistic that our Joint Venture relationship with Canamex will result in many future opportunities in the region for our company and our shareholders.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,
Gemco Minerals Inc.
